About Townshend
Historical Society

The Townshend Historical Society is a 503(c) (3) non profit organization. Townshend has a population of less than 2000 persons. Approximately 10% are involved in our Society. Our research begins in 1753 the date of the charter for the Town of Townshend.

We have an ongoing project with our public schools to find interesting ways to study history and to create innovative projects.
